Urban Dance Company (UDC) offers everyone the chance to do something they love… Dance!

UDC is a dance company constituted of ameteur and professional dancers, specialising in providing classes, theatre shows, workshops, corporate events, and birthday parties in Street, Hip Hop and Break dance across Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire and London.

Infants (age 2-4)   Juniors (age 4-11)   Seniors (age 11-35)    Adult Fitness (over 18's)

The Company is directed and managed by Gemma and Luissa. We are both highly qualified dance instructors and  primary and secondary school teachers. Our aim in the dance company is to deliver well structured and fun lessons so that dancers achieve and succeed. And as we are teachers, we know how children learn effectively; how they become engaged in an activity and how the can achieve through supported teaching.

Our dance terms end with a theatre dance show which highlights the talent, skill and achievement from all our dancers  involved in UDC. We pride ourselves, and our company, for providing classes and opportunities for each individual to succeed in their own personal way.

We aim for our dance opportunities to provide a way to keep fit, socialise with others, have fun, build confidence and gain a sense of achievement. Each individual is important to us, which is why we work hard to develop everyone's unique style and provide opportunities for all dancers to progress within the company. UDC is unique because we recruit amateur and semi-professional dancers to train to be experts within our company, as well as supporting local charities at our theatre shows and events.

At UDC, we teach our dancers rhythm, technique and discipline in Street, Hip Hop and Break dance as well as building confidence, coordination, developed memory and the ability to work as a team whilst showing respect for others. Any one of our classes will highlight the importance of a ‘Healthy Living Lifestyle’ by exercising in a fun and social way to keep fit and by learning new skills. Our classes consist of a fusion of dance styles classed as ‘street dance’ nowadays, taught by specialist CRB enhanced choreographers and trainee choreographers trained up through UDC.
